Northern Inland Regional Waste (NIRW)

Northern Inland Regional Waste (NIRW) is a regional waste group in the New England and North West of NSW.  NIRW works collaboratively for better regional outcomes in waste management and resource recovery.  NIRW leads a number of programs and addresses issues using a strategic regional approach.  The NIRW region covers 99,754km2 and has a population of 186,870.

NIRW has 12 member Councils: Armidale Regional Council, Glen Innes Severn Council, Gunnedah Shire Council, Gwydir Shire Council, Inverell Shire Council, Liverpool Plains Shire Council, Moree Plains Shire Council, Narrabri Shire Council, Tamworth Regional Council, Tenterfield Shire Council, Uralla Shire Council and Walcha Council.
